Annique
Annique Rooibos Products was established in 1971 by its founder, Dr Annique Theron. Since then, the company has developed products based on the unique qualities of the indigenous herbal plant, Aspalathus linearis, Rooibos.
The discovery of the qualities of this plant was recorded in the book Allergies, an Amazing Discovery by Dr Theron, published in 1968. Since then, thousands of people have benefited from the results of this discovery and subsequent research.
In 1997, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) awarded Annique Rooibos Products a triple gold medal in Geneva for Annique Theron's remarkable 1968 discovery of Rooibos' internal and external hypo allergenic qualities, and for the application of her Aspalathus linearis extract in skin care and health care products. The award of Best Woman Discoverer of the Year was given to Annique Theron for these discoveries and the relief it brought to thousands of mothers with allergic babies.
Since then Annique has been exporting quality rooibos products to 30 countries around the world.
Dr. Annique, the pioneer of rooibos tea and its benefits, has been drinking rooibos tea since her discovery and has clearly reaped the health benefits.
